If you are a tutoring organisation delivering tutoring to students in schools, this article takes you through the recommended onboarding process and set up.
As device and firewall setup is not always a quick process in schools, we always recommend leaving a minimum of 2 weeks before tutoring starts to ensure the school has enabled the correct setup and firewall configuration.
We also recommend setting up a test session with the school well before tutoring begins to ensure everything is working as expected.
School firewall
If the school has a strict firewall then they may need to make some changes before their online tutoring starts. The network requirements and recommended steps to changing things can be found here. If you need further guidance on this, please consult this help page.
Device & Equipment
For the best online tutoring experience we recommend using Google Chrome on a desktop or laptop. You can learn about other supported devices here. For good sound quality, it is critical that your students use headphones with a microphone.

Connection Requirements
The most important connection metric is latency, rather than upload/download speeds. Recommended speeds can be found below, the lower the latency the better. Test here.
To improve your connection please follow through the steps on this page.
If you continue to run into technical issues which cannot be solved by the steps above, please reach out to us at help@bramble.io with screenshots of where you are getting stuck and results of your UDP, WSS and Are You Ready? tests. We can then look into things further for you.
